rs. H.B. Diemer made a trip last week to the western part of the state to visit her brother, Hugh Babbitt and family, also her sister, Mrs. J.W. Rankin, who has spent some time visiting with relatives
in Illinois and is stopping over at her brother's for a visit while on her way home to Los Angeles, Calif. 2)From Obituary of John Wesley Rankin [q.v.]: Malinda was remembered as a gentle soul -- s
hort, chubby, white hair and gold rimmed glasses. She died in Los Angeles in 1913. She is buried in the Babbitt Cemetery in St. Augustine, Fulton County, Illinois.
