  Also Known as: WILLIAM BENJAMIN HARTON. Like his father, he was employed by Cobb & Co looking after the coach horses and lived at Barnato Stn before moving to White Cliffs where he worked for Cobb & Co and was also an Opal Miner. At some stage during this time William lived at The 9 Mile Dam on the Wilcannia to Louth Road, and his wife to be (Catherine) lived in Wilcannia. They were married at the Shearlegs hotel which is 30 Miles (50 Kms) South of Cobar on the Hillston Road.William, which today has only ruins remaining. William became ill in Wilcannia and his son Gordon J R Harton brought him to live with his family in Broken Hill, where he died at their home in Railwaytown in 1938.
