BIRTH:He appears to be the Wiley Baker who married Perlina Nicholson in 1847 after his first wife died in 1846. They are probably the same couple as found in the 1850 Lee Co, IA census. Wiley is

age 47, b "Ia," an old abbreviation for Indiana. [See under Research.] It is doubtful that he is the same Wiley Baker, also b abt 1803 in NC, as this man stayed in Caldwell Co, KY. He is in the 185

0 and 1860 censuses with the children who are listed in the IGI as belonging to the Wiley Baker that went to Indiana!
